Paulding County deputies responded to Brown’s home in August 2025 after they received a call from a man who called for a welfare check. The man told deputies that Brown sent him photos of a newborn that was theirs and didn’t look alive.

Deputies searched Brown’s home and didn’t find a baby in the house. They found newborn baby diapers, but Brown said those had been for a 6-month-old baby.

Now, deputies say Brown had faked her pregnancy.
