Widespread Verizon outage reported

METRO ATLANTA — Verizon customers across Georgia reported network issues Monday afternoon.

Downdetector.com showed reported outages across much of the state, and many people were complaining about a lack of bars on social media.

A Verizon spokesperson said, “We are aware of network disruptions impacting some customers in parts of Georgia. Our engineers are working to quickly identify and resolve this issue.”

The cause of the outage and how long it can be expected to last is unknown.
