The collision happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday along Tara Boulevard where there are three southbound lanes and three northbound lanes at Southside Commercial Parkway in Jonesboro.

The investigation led Clayton County police detectives to a nearby hotel, Magnolia Bay.

A guest at the hotel told Channel 2 Action News that the little girl was staying here and even pointed out the room to Channel 2.

When Channel 2 Action News knocked on the door, a woman inside that room stated she was “not speaking to anybody”.
