WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators searching a house in a quiet Walton County neighborhood found fentanyl and methamphetamine, then found child sexual abuse material on SD cards and USB drives belonging to the man who now faces charges.

Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigators searched the house on Georgia Circle last Thursday morning as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children and narcotics investigation.
Wilbur Hines, 39, was arrested as part of the investigation.
Along with the fentanyl and methamphetamine, investigators found marijuana and items used to distribute drugs, the sheriff’s office said.
Hines is charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of children and obstruction. His drug charges include possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and marijuana, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.

Court records show Hines also faces charges in Gwinnett County from a January arrest, including felony possession of methamphetamine and reckless driving. Police said that arrest followed a chase.
“We know that anything can happen anywhere,” said a woman who has lived in the area for 10 years. “But it’s a little surprising, but not totally surprising.”
A neighbor named Andy, who asked that his last name not be used, moved in about a month ago.
“Unfortunately, my brother passed away about two years ago from (a) fentanyl overdose,” he said. “So I mean, I definitely don’t want to live down the street from it.”
The sheriff’s office said its investigation is ongoing.
