Those Verizon customers who were experiencing problems with their voice services can breathe a little easier tonight.
In an email to Channel 2 Action News Saturday night, a spokesperson for the carrier reported that its engineers fixed the issue.
“We know how much you rely on us, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. If you are still having any trouble with your service, please try restarting your device,” the spokesperson said.
Verizon customers in some parts of the nation were impacted by a partial outage Saturday afternoon.
Verizon didn’t specify which areas were affected, but instead had directed customers to visit the company’s Check Network Status page for updates on service in the area.
According to Downdetector, customers of other carriers, including AT&T and T-Mobile, were also experiencing difficulties Saturday afternoon, but by Saturday evening, the reports had decreased..
There were no verification of an outage from the other carriers’ customer support teams.
