ATHENS-CLARKE, Ga. — The Athens-Clarke County Police Department says they are actively investigating the vandalism of the new parking meter signs throughout downtown Athens.

Officers have already arrested two people in connection to the damaged signs. They are now warning others that vandalizing or stealing these signs is an arrestable offense and can be prosecuted as a felony.
