Thieves cut hole into brick wall of Georgia pawn shop, steal 60 guns, deputies say

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies are searching for some thieves who stole 60 guns from a Macon-area pawn shop.

Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said surveillance cameras caught two masked thieves breaking into Howard’s Pawn & Jewelry store along Mercer University Drive early Wednesday morning.

Deputies said the men cut a large hole in a brick wall along the side of the store.

Investigators said the store took inventory over the weekend and discovered that about 60 guns were taken by the thieves.

Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms have been called in to help with the investigation.
