Teen girl missing after taking bus to Atlanta more than a week ago

ATLANTA — A Georgia sheriff’s office is asking for help in finding a teen girl who hasn’t been seen in more than a week.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s office said Kalana Johnson has been reported missing since Oct. 18 at around 2 a.m. at the Holiday Inn on Park West Drive in Augusta. She was in the area with her mother visiting her father.

Authorities believe she took a bus from Augusta to Forsyth St. in Atlanta, and was last known to be in the Palmetto area with friends.

She was last seen wearing a pair of green jogging pants, a black T-shirt with a green logo, and black/white Nike tennis shoes.
