ATLANTA — More than 8,000 backpacks collected during WSB-TV Channel 2’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign, along with a large amount of school supplies and $22,000 in community donations, will help thousands of metro Atlanta students start the school year prepared to learn

Now in its 23rd year, Stuff the Bus is a partnership between WSB-TV’s Family 2 Family Project and Children’s Restoration Network (CRN), bringing together viewers, community organizations, volunteers, and corporate partners to provide essential school supplies to students and families across North Georgia.
“The support we received this year will help thousands of students across North Georgia start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed,” said Marian Pittman, President of WSB-TV. “We are grateful to every viewer, volunteer, partner, and donor who made this year’s Stuff the Bus campaign such a success.”
“This campaign is more than backpacks and notebooks,” said Condace Pressley, Director of Community and Public Affairs for WSB-TV. “It’s about giving children confidence and helping families begin the school year with the support they need. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and championed this effort.”
Donations collected through Stuff the Bus are distributed through Children’s Restoration Network and other community partners to help students and families across the region prepare for a successful school year.
WSB-TV extends its thanks to Children’s Restoration Network and its Family 2 Family partners, including Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia Natural Gas, The Kroger Company, and Wellstar Health System, for their continued support of Stuff the Bus. The station also recognizes United Way of Greater Atlanta for helping raise more than $22,000 in community donations, as well as the viewers, volunteers, community organizations whose generosity made this year’s campaign one of the most successful in the program’s history.
