Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes was in South Fulton County, where witnesses said the impact of the crash was so loud that it sounded like an explosion.
“I was leaving the Walmart parking lot there, and my brother was sitting on my vehicle and heard gunshots,” Norman Hayes said. “I came out because the power was out. We see a lot of road rage but nothing of this sort - when you’re talking about actually pulling a weapon and using it on someone.”
It’s unclear if anyone else has been injured or how many people may have been involved.
Power to several businesses was knocked out.
Neighbors said they just want the area to be safe.
“We just don’t want this to happen over here, you know?” one witness said. “We have kids and elderly people walking to the plaza.”
