1 dead, person of interest in custody after shooting in South Fulton

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — A shooting in the city of South Fulton Wednesday evening left one man dead.

Police were called to the area of Butner Road and Springbox Dr. before 8 p.m. in reference to a man being shot.

Investigators have not identified the man or commented on whether he was found dead at the scene or if he died from his injuries later.

Officers say that a person of interest is in their custody, but no charges have been filed.

Detectives are continuing their investigation to determine what led up to this shooting.
