‘Somebody knows something’: Family and loved ones continue to search for pair of best friends

ATLANTA — A search for two best friends and business partners continues as family and loved ones seek answers.

Channel 2′s Justin Carter was out in southwest Atlanta where loved ones are gathering to search for them Sunday.

Jason Salter and his best friend and business partner Kenny Guerra were last seen on Saturday in East Point.

The pair own a t-shirt shop together and are also well-known bartenders.

Family and friends told Channel 2 Action News it’s all hands on deck and boots on the ground because their disappearance doesn’t make sense.

“Somebody knows something,” Family member Dionne Mitchell said.

East Point police told Channel 2 Action News on Thursday it is a widespread search spanning several jurisdictions between East Point, Hapeville, and the city of South Fulton.

“It just feels like a dream. We just want to wake up,” Michelle Johnson, cousin of Jason Salter said.

Guerra’s girlfriend told Channel 2 Action News that he left home around 5 p.m. last Saturday and hasn’t been seen since.

His abandoned BMW was found parked at the Reserve at Birch Creek Apartments in southwest Atlanta.

Salter’s car was found abandoned at this family dollar on Delowe Drive in East Point.

Their family said the two were inseparable and believe the two were meeting someone before they went missing.
