A snake spotted at a Bibb County hotel pool has been captured and released into a wooded area, deputies told Channel 2 Action News.

The sheriff’s office took to their Facebook page to share photos of the 6-foot Eastern rat snake stating the “sneaky snake was enjoying soaking up some sun at a hotel pool”.

With help from Animal Enforcement officer Rebecca Galeazzo, the snake was removed from the pool area and released to a wooded area.
Prior to releasing the snake into a wooded area, Galeazzo nicknamed the snake “Rumplesnakeskin”,
The sheriff’s office said the snake was unharmed.
