Student shot at Warner Robins High School

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Th Houston County sheriff said two students were taken to a hospital after a shooting at a high school Wednesday.

Sheriff Matt Moulton said a suspect is now in custody in the shooting at Warner Robins High School, and the school is secure.

The two students have non-life threatening injuries. No other information was provided on the manner of how they were hurt.

A school official earlier confirmed that one student was shot.

The Houston County School District spokesperson said in a message to parents that all other students were in classrooms, and law enforcement had responded, WGXA reported.

A Georgia State Patrol helicopter has landed at the school campus.

Nearby Sacred Heart Catholic Church announced it had gone into lockdown.

The high school has an enrollment of around 1,800 students.
