Sandy Springs police search for gunman in shooting outside bar

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Sandy Springs police are searching for the person who shot a man outside a bar.

A witness told Channel 2's Darryn Moore off camera that an argument broke out broke out between two men inside Tailfeathers Restaurant and Piano Bar at the Hammond Springs shopping center on Roswell Road around 2 a.m. Monday.

The argument then spilled into the parking lot. The witness said he heard one man say he had a gun, the other man said he had one as well, and that's when he heard several gunshots.

Sandy Springs detectives are gathering evidence and witness statements. Police said they are looking for a black, heavy set man, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, who left the shooting scene in a black sedan heading south on Roswell Road.

The shooting victim was taken to North Fulton Hospital. His condition is not known.
