Investigators say Ingraham threatened to hurt himself and to shoot any police officer. They also say he had an outstanding warrant out of Florida.

Ingraham called the Channel 2 newsroom and spoke with an employee for more than an hour as she worked to keep him calm.

He said he was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was inside the room with his 23-year-old son with autism.

He told Channel 2 Action News that he didn’t want to hurt anyone or himself, he just wanted to be left alone.
