ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office said deputies took a person into custody after safety threats were made to local schools.
In an afternoon update, the sheriff’s office said they were able to match a person’s information to the phone number used to make the threat.
Law enforcement responded to separate bomb threats at Rockdale County High School and Heritage High School.

The sheriff’s office worked with Conyers police to make the identification.
Authorities said the person is believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis.
The schools resumed normal operations. The threat is not active at this time.
