ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and Conyers Police Department are investigating safety threats made toward local schools.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies are working with Conyers police to identify the person responsible for the threat.
Conyers police said law enforcement are responding to separate bomb threats at Rockdale County High School and Heritage High School.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and more information will be released as it becomes available.
The sheriff’s office said school officials are expected to provide updates directly to parents and guardians with further information.
