Gwinnett County police charged Loren Tademy with felony murder in the shooting death of 29-year-old Ty’Shawn Frank.

The shooting happened Aug. 17 on Lawrenceville Highway near Tucker. Investigators said Tademy had come to the home for music meetings.

A detective testified in court that a third man who was inside the home told investigators Tademy changed his clothes before pulling out a gun.

The man told police Tademy pointed the gun at him and Frank multiple times.

The third man eventually left after calling out to Frank and asking if he wanted to leave. The detective said Frank responded, “No, I’m good.”

Police said Frank was later shot in the head.

A neighbor told Channel 2 Action News she heard four gunshots. A bullet traveled across the street and struck another townhome’s garage and wall.

“I just thought about the children that usually play outside, families that sit in their garage,” the neighbor said.
