Police say 13-year-old girl stabbed 12-year-old boy in head while “horseplaying”

LAGRANGE, Ga. — A 13-year-old girl has been arrested after police say she stabbed a 12-year-old boy in the head.

The LaGrange Police department said the children were “horseplaying” when the teen girl got upset, picked up a kitchen knife and hit the boy in the head.

The 13-year-old was taken into custody on one count of aggravated assault.

The 12-year-old was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He was later released.

Police have not identified the suspect or the victim.
