FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — There is some big movement in the city of Flowery Branch.
Police Chief Christopher Hulsey will hang up his badge to assume the duties of Assistant City Manager for the city.
His final day of service with the Flowery Branch Police Department will be Sept. 30.

Chief Hulsey has served on the Flowery Branch police force since 2022. He began with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office before being recruited to Flowery Branch Police Department.
Under Hulsey, Flowery Branch police achieved State Certification Award. The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police presented the award to Chief Hulsey in last month.
The newly retired chief will walk into his new job on Oct.1. Hulsey will be the city’s first Assistant City Manager.
