Suspect captured in Spalding County, shelter-in-place lifted

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Christopher Thomas McLemore has been safely caught. The shelter-in-place has been lifted.

The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is telling people to shelter in place as they search for a suspect who may be armed.

Deputies shared a photo of Christopher Thomas McLemore, the man they say they are searching for.

Deputies said McLemore left a scene in the area of Moreland Road in Griffin. McLemore’s last known address is off Rover Road.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who sees suspicious activity to call 911.
