The opening marks a major milestone for the brand, which has grown from a business started in 2019 into a name with partnerships that include Nike and a collaboration with comedian and actor Cedric the Entertainer.
Ajanaku grew up in East Atlanta. He and Cooper played golf at Morehouse, where they won a national championship together.
The company says its mission is to raise awareness about golf among young people and those who do not typically play the sport, while promoting diversity and making the game more accessible.
Eastside Golf celebrated its Atlanta opening with a weekend of events, including the release of its Nike collaboration on Oct. 30 and a Community Day on Nov. 1.
“We’re home, Atlanta,” the company said in announcing the opening. “Where better to open our first flagship than the city that made us?”
