ATLANTA — MARTA is holding a job fair on Thursday at its Atlanta headquarters. The transit agency is hiring for full-time and part-time positions, including rail operators, bus operators and various maintenance technicians.

The career event is located at 2424 Piedmont Road NE, directly across from the Lindbergh Center rail station. It starts at 1 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
Open technical positions include electric transit rail car maintenance, track maintainers, electric power and equipment technicians and bus technicians.

Sign-on bonuses are available for commercial driver’s license bus operators with passenger endorsements, as well as journeyman track maintainers and bus technicians.
Applicants for bus and rail operator positions must be at least 21 years old and hold a commercial driver’s license or CDL permit. Candidates are also required to have a high school diploma or equivalent along with a valid Class C driver’s license.
Selection requirements for operators include passing a physical examination, an ability test and a drug and alcohol screening.
Attendees must wear business casual or professional attire and MARTA encourages job seekers to ride public transit to the headquarters location.
