Body found in woods behind Clayton County home identified as missing teen

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A body found in the woods behind a Clayton County home on Tuesday has been identified as a teenager reported missing a week ago.

Clayton County police officers were called to a home on the 6000 block of Saganaw Drive in Rex on Tuesday after a body was found behind a home in the area.

In a news conference Thursday afternoon, investigators said the body had been identified as that of 15-year-old Logan Wade.

Wade was reported missing October 7 after going to meet someone known as Shrek at a Krispy Kreme in Stockbridge to buy marijuana.

Investigators say the teen was found shot to death.
