ATLANTA — A man was shot in the leg Sunday night near MARTA’s Bankhead Station, according to MARTA police.

MARTA police said the shooting happened after a group of young people got into an argument with the man outside the station near an apartment complex.
The victim ran toward the MARTA property after being shot and collapsed there.
The victim is still alive, according to police.
Atlanta police are searching for the people suspected of shooting the man.
MARTA police said they were told to be on the look out as Atlanta police continues its investigation.
MARTA property in that area is blocked off while Atlanta police continued searching for the suspects.
“I’m just surprised because this is usually a chill area, nothing really goes on right here,” said Amiri Jay, a MARTA rider. “I just hope everybody’s alright. Prayers up to everybody.”
