BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A New York man is in custody after police say he fired gunshots inside a Brookhaven nightclub.
Brookhaven officers responded to the Penthouse Lounge off Buford Highway around 3 a.m.

When they arrived, a security guard at the club told them a man fired multiple shots toward him. The man, identified as 22-year-old Curtis Harlen, said he was a robbery victim.
Police said Harlen ran back inside the club and the security guard confronted him. That is when Harlen started shooting, according to police.

Officers took him into custody and charged him with several felonies. No one was injured in the shooting.
Police said they are still investigating if the alleged robbery happened before the shooting.
As of 9 a.m. Monday, Harlen has not been booked into the DeKalb County Jail
