LAMAR COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man accused of shooting at a driver passing by his house in Lamar County.
Deputies from the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office and the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 130 Lamar County Line Road following a report of gunfire.

According to investigators, a driver was traveling on Lamar County Line Road when he saw a man with gun “acting erratically.”
The armed man then allegedly shot at the driver’s vehicle multiple times before the driver was able to drive away safely. The driver was not hurt.
Deputies arrested Keith Odel, 26, who lives on Lamar County Line Road. He was booked into the Lamar County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and damage to property.
“The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the deputies and personnel from both agencies involved in bringing this incident to a safe resolution,” a spokesperson said.
