WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — A 41-year-old man was arrested after authorities say he shot a woman in the face in the early hours of the morning.

The White County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the Lothridge Road area of Cleveland for a shooting report at 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 29.
There, deputies found a woman with a gunshot wound to her face. She was taken by White County EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for her wound. She is recovering from her injuries.
Investigators determined that Andrew Landrum Waddell was the suspected shooter, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities got a warrant for his arrest on an aggravated assault charge.
Waddell was traced to a family member’s home with the help of Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and Banks County Sheriff’s Office.
With the help of the Banks County SWAT and a search warrant, authorities took Waddell into custody without incident. He has being held in the White County Jail without bond on the aggravated assault charge.
