METRO ATLANTA — Anyone looking to spend the last weekend of 2024 in the great outdoors, probably will need to pack their rain gear according to Channel 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich.
And while Kramlich says it will warm up, the amount and severity of the rain will vary quite a bit, depending on where you are.

The cold, damp, drizzly rain of Friday afternoon and evening will give way to some heavier rain later on Friday night and scattered showers through the day on Saturday.
Kramlich says that temperatures will actually get warmer as the night progresses and should be in the mid-50′s by midday on Saturday.

She does say to be aware on Sunday as a strong system will approach the state early in the morning. A few stronger storms could be possible. The rain should start to taper off as the day goes on Sunday.
