How many people in Georgia have won Mega Millions jackpots?

ATLANTA — More than $1.2 billion is up for grabs in Friday night’s historic Mega Millions drawing.

The new total released at noon is the second highest jackpot in Mega Millions history.

You can watch the LIVE Mega Millions drawing every Tuesday and Friday night RIGHT HERE on Channel 2, right before WSB Tonight at 11 p.m.

Georgia is not the state that has sold the most winning lottery tickets. The title goes to New York and California. However, the Peach State has produced its fair share of millionaires.

There have been 15 Mega Millions winners in Georgia since 2002, according to the Mega Millions. The most recent winning numbers belonged to a LLC who purchased the ticket at White Water Chevron on Cobb Parkway.

Here is the full list of winners in Georgia. Note that a few of the winners split the jackpot with winners in other states.
