HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Organizations who have donated animals to the Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Henry County are now asking for their animals back.
“They never said yes, she is alive,” Sue Gooding told Channel 2′s Ashli Lincoln.
Sue Gooding said she isn’t alone in wanting to know if a bird she donated to the Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is still living.
Gooding is one of several individuals and nonprofits who are currently requesting their animals back. Channel 2 Action News has reported several bird deaths related to the bird flu outbreak, along with the death of birds related to medical conditions or declining living conditions.

“That’s when I started getting really concerned,” Gooding said.
The founder of Bird Lovers Only, a nonprofit based in Duncan, South Carolina confirmed with Investigative Reporter Ashli Lincoln, that at least two of their birds died at the sanctuary.
The organization told Channel 2 Action News they’ve donated dozens of birds to Noah’s Ark over the years.

They said they were also denied getting their animals back.
Channel 2 Action News requested a statement from Noah’s Ark, they have not responded. In emails sent to Gooding the Sanctuary stated once a donor signs donation paperwork, they provide the sanctuary with full ownership. The email, goes on to say the birds are being well cared for.
In a previous story, Noah’s Ark says they’ve working with consultants and medical experts to improve conditions on property.
