Metro hospitals no longer allowing visitors over rise in COVID-19 cases

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, Piedmont Henry and Piedmont Atlanta hospitals say they will no longer allow visitors.

According to a post on the Piedmont Henry Hospital’s website, it says the restriction is “due to widespread cases of COVID-19 in the community and a high patient census of COVID-19 in the hospital. Any exceptions need to be made by leaders of specific departments.”

The hospital says outpatient services will also only allow one care partner per patient, per visit.
