A heat advisory will be in place for almost all of Georgia except the northeast Georgia mountain counties.
The advisory will go from noon until 8 p.m. for dangerous heat index up to 109 degrees.
With the heat, you will want to drink plenty of fluids, limit your outdoor activities, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothes. Make sure to check on your relatives, neighbors and pets.
