Much of north Georgia is under a heat advisory as temperatures reach into the mid and upper 90s.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says the heat index could get up to 109 degrees.

There is a chance of isolated showers on Sunday afternoon.
Rain chances will stay low through midweek, according to Deon.

Temperatures will remain elevated, running above normal in the mid to upper 90s over several days.
Later this week, Deon says scattered showers and storms will return, bringing some cooler temperatures.
Highs will be closer to 90 degrees by next weekend.
