BRASELTON, Ga. — A Hall County man arrested in May for allegedly killing his parents in the front yard was indicted in July.
According to documents obtained by Channel 2 Action News, Daniel Edward Rawlins faces six charges for murdering his parents.
The 39-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of malice murder.
He now faces additional charges from the indictment.

As previously reported, Hall County Sheriff’s deputies first went to the Rawlins home on May 5 after a family member called.
They’d found William Rawlins, 67, Daniel Rawlins’ father, unresponsive in the front yard. Daniel Rawlins’ mother, Leanette, 66, was also found unresponsive on the home’s front porch.
Deputies got to the property and searched the house, and a barn apartment while Hall County Fire Rescue checked on both victims and pronounced them dead at the scene.
Daniel Rawlins, who lived in the barn apartment, was not home when deputies arrived.

Using surveillance footage from Flock cameras, deputies found Daniel Rawlins on video driving near I-85 in Braselton, eventually stopping at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites off I-85 and GA-211.
Daniel Rawlins was then arrested without incident in a hotel room that evening.
Following the investigation, and his arrest, Daniel Rawlins was charged with two counts of malice murder. He was accused of killing William and Leanette Rawlins by hitting them in their heads with a hammer.
According to the July 26 indictment, Daniel Rawlins will face the following counts in court:
- Two counts of felony malice murder
- Two counts of felony murder
- Two counts of aggravated assault
The indictment did not reveal any potential motives for the deaths. A date for court proceedings has not been chosen at this time.
