Investigators know who they are looking for, they just haven’t found him. Friday afternoon, they said 42-year-old Sidney Alan McCollum walked into the Wells Fargo bank on Thompson Bridge Road just after noon and handed the teller a note demanding money.

Officers said the teller handed McCollum an undisclosed amount of money, then McCollum walked out of the bank and towards Enota Ave. behind the Publix where they believe he parked his getaway vehicle.

Investigators also believe McCollum is responsible for robbing the Northeast Georgia Bank in Toccoa on Aug. 11.
