HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office announced three deputies resigned from the agency as it continues auditing how staff use the Flock Safety system.
The news comes a week after Channel 2 Action News reported on the termination of a sheriff’s office investigator for misusing Flock Safety technology.
All three deputies had been with the department for at least three years.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said Jason Orellana, Taylor McArthur and Austin Scott Flanagan resigned while under active investigation.
Orellana, part of the Uniform Patrol Division, resigned on Wednesday while under investigation for 10 unauthorized searches using the Flock system, which the agency said were requested by a colleague who did not have access to Flock.

McArthur was part of the Jail Division and resigned Thursday after she was informed she was under investigation.
At the time, HCSO said she provided information to then-deputy Orellana, asking him to use Flock to check on people she knew.
As Channel 2 Action News reported, Flanagan had already been placed on administrative leave with pay related to an Aug. 25 arrest after he was accused of making harassing phone calls.
The sheriff’s office said he resigned Thursday while under investigation for the arrest and a separate investigation into his use of the agency’s Flock Safety system.
Investigators determined Flanagan had accessed Flock twice for personal reasons, unrelated to any job function.
HCSO said the violations are still under further review by the office, and the violations will be referred to the Georgia Peace Office Standards and Training Council for review.
