Police identify teen suspect, victim in shooting at Gwinnett business

Police have identified a teen they say opened fire in a Gwinnett County manufacturing business Friday, killing a man.

They have also identified the victim.

Police said Joshua Brandt, 18, was taken into custody at 10 a.m. Saturday. He has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault.

Police said the victim was James Ross, 38, of Loganville.

Police said they believe Ross was targeted.

One other person was transported to the hospital with a minor injury sustained while running from the building.

Police responded to reports of an active shooter at the business Friday at 2:30 p.m. Dozens of law enforcement vehicles responded to the scene.

Police said a man covered in a long, white garment with a white head and face covering fled the scene.

Police have not released a motive. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is unclear.
