84-year-old Gwinnett County man in need of medical care found safe

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have found an 84-year-old man who needed medical care.

Gwinnett County Police issued a Mattie’s Call for 84-year-old Donald Hively, who was last seen on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Village Parl Assisted Living on Spalding Drive in unincorporated Peachtree Corners.

Authorities conducted an extensive search on the ground with the help of K9s and the Police Aviation Unit but had not found Hively.

Later Sunday afternoon, Gwinnett Police confirmed that Hively was located safe. He was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
