Couple dead in murder-suicide at Gwinnett County home

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are investigating a murder-suicide Monday morning.

The investigation is centered on Braemore Mill Road in Lawrenceville.

Channel 2′s Tony Thomas learned that the couple, identified as 36-year-old Claudia Settle and 41-year-old Henry Settle, were going through a divorce.

Police were called to a domestic situation around 9:30 a.m. Officers found a man dead and a woman with gunshot wounds in an upstairs bedroom. She was taken to the hospital, where she died.

Police said Henry Settle shot Claudia Settle, and then himself.

Police said there were two children downstairs inside the home at the time of the killings. The children were not physically injured.

The victims’ identities have not been released.
