On the May 16 episode, the Final 4 contestants undertook four rounds of competition: a song by their personal idol, a reprise of their favorite performance of the season, a duet with another contestant of a song by guest mentor FINNEAS and the song that will be their first single if they win the competition.

The 21-year-old from Coffee County, Ga. performed John Legend’s ‘Glory’ as his personal idol song. He also teamed up with fellow finalist Grace Kinstler for FINNEAS’ ‘What They’ll Say About Us.”

Spence rounded out the night by reprising his performance of Beyoncé's ‘I Was Here’ from the Showstopper Round and his winner single titled ‘Never Be Alone.’
