$100K, $50K Powerball winning tickets sold in Georgia at Publix, food mart

ATLANTA — Georgia Lottery officials confirmed that two lucky Powerball players won big prizes following Wednesday night’s drawing.

Wednesday’s lucky numbers were 31, 43, 58, 59, 66, and 9 as the Powerball number.

Officials said a $100,000 ticket was sold in Sardis, Georgia at the Jet Food Store on Charles Perry Avenue.

According to Lottery officials, the winner of the $100,000 managed to double their $50,000 prize with the 2X Power Play option.

In addition to the winner in Sardis, another Georgia store sold a $50,000 ticket in Wednesday’s drawing.

Georgia Lottery officials said the $50,000 ticket was sold at a Publix on Bowman Road in Macon.

Powerball officials said the jackpot prize was left unclaimed throughout the country, making it grow to an estimated $700 million.
