HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are asking people to be on the look out for a man who failed to appear to register as a sex offender.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office posted on their Facebook page Tuesday that Derek Causey has an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The sheriff’s office said Causey is known to frequent the Watson Boulevard and North Houston Road area and Houston Lake Road in Centerville.
According to WGXA-TV, Causey had a 1999 conviction in Georgia for sexual battery against a child under 16-years-old, and a 2007 conviction in Texas for sexual assault against a child.
Deputies said to call 911 if you see Causey.
