Georgia deputies arrest man after 28 dogs, puppies found neglected

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Police said the suspect has been taken into custody.

Floyd County deputies are searching for a man accused of neglecting dozens of dogs and puppies.

Deputies said Timothy Reynolds is wanted on 28 counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals after authorities found dogs and puppies in bad condition.

Authorities said the dogs and puppies were exposed to “prolonged physical harm and negligent care.” Unfortunately, by the time deputies got involved, the animals were infected with distemper and had to be humanely put down.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is asking for people to turn Reynolds in to authorities. If you know where he his, you’re asked to call Anonymous Crime Line at 706-236-5000 or the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division at 706-236-2466.
