FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Looking to add a pet this summer?
Forsyth County Animal Shelter is making it easier to do so with a summer of no adoption fees.
The adoption fee goes towards microchipping, spaying, neutering, and age-appropriate vaccinations, according to the shelter. These will be free from May 26 to Sep. 6.

The adoption will be beach-themed, according to the shelter.
This is the fifth annual adoption event that the county has held.
“We are very excited to give residents a chance to adopt a pet at no cost,” said Animal Shelter Manager Cindy Iacopella. “All of the pets in the shelter deserve a good home and we are hopeful that this promotion will help families bring a new companion home this summer.”
