Man wanted in 4 counties leads Peachtree City police on chase

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — A man with warrants in four counties in two different states led police in Peachtree City on a chase earlier this week.

Police say they were attempting to a traffic stop on a man they knew had outstanding charges at the Pit Stop on Hwy. 74 near TDK Blvd. on Tuesday when he sped off.

After a short time, officers were able to use a PIT maneuver to safely end the chase.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jordon Johnson of Atlanta, was taken into custody.

Investigators say Johnson was wanted out of Coweta County for DUI, driving without a license and felony fleeing/attempting to elude. He was wanted in Henry County on a probation violation warrant. He had an outstanding warrant in Salisbury, Maryland on a failure to appear on a DUI charge. Lastly, he had an outstanding warrant in Cambridge, Maryland on a failure to appear on a driving without a license charge.

Johnson was taken to the Fayette County Jail where he now faces additional charges of fleeing/attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended license and several other charges in a fifth jurisdiction.
