NEWNAN, Ga. — A Metro Atlanta father has been charged with holding his daughter hostage inside their home.
Coweta County Sheriff’s Office were called to the home on Highway 154 in Newnan after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The agency activated its SWAT team, hostage negotiator, and drones to help rescue the 14-year-old teen who had been physically assaulted. The Georgia State Patrol SWAT unit was also called into assist.

The domestic incident ended around 4 hours later when the juvenile slipped out of the house after the father fell asleep.
SWAT entered the home and arrested the father, Jeremy Head, on a list of charges including false imprisonment, battery, and cruelty to children.
Head was booked into the Coweta County jail.
