JEFFERSON, Ga. — Georgia Bureau of Investigation have been requested to investigate a shooting at a Subway in Jefferson on Tuesday.

Investigators are gathering evidence as the pavement is littered with evidence markers pointing out the location of spent bullets. The crime scene is outside the fast food restaurant on U.S. Highway 129.
Jefferson Police asked the public to avoid the area as an active investigation was underway.
The police said there was no active threat to the general public.
NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene Tuesday afternoon.
