Georgia gas prices continued to drop, pushing the state average down to $3.58 per gallon for regular gasoline.
However, AAA says rising crude oil prices and concerns over global supply disruptions could slow further relief at the pump in the coming weeks.

The price decline provides ongoing relief for motorists, with Georgia’s average remaining well below national figures. Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group, discussed the price gap and offered advice for motorists navigating changing market conditions.
“Georgia drivers are paying an average of 59 cents less per gallon than the national average,” said Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “While drivers are seeing some savings at the pump, rising oil prices could impact how long that relief lasts. To stretch fuel dollars further, drivers should compare prices, take advantage of fuel rewards programs, and combine errands whenever possible.”
For drivers in Georgia, filling a standard 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline currently costs approximately $53.70.

The current state average is seven cents lower than last week and 38 cents lower than last month, though it remains 80 cents higher than at this time last year. Nationwide, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline dropped 11 cents this week to $4.17 as price drops slowed across the country. Crude oil prices remain above $100 a barrel, which limits further declines at the pump. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, domestic fuel supplies increased and gasoline demand dropped last week, while overall gasoline production also decreased.
Gas prices vary across metro areas in Georgia. The state’s most expensive metro markets are Macon at $3.63 per gallon, Savannah at $3.62 per gallon and Atlanta at $3.61 per gallon. The least expensive areas include Brunswick at $3.45 per gallon, Catoosa-Dade-Walker at $3.43 per gallon and Albany at $3.41 per gallon.
