DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating after a man was found shot and killed in the backyard of a home.
Officers were called to a home on Valley Chase Court just after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

When they got there, they found a man in his 20s dead in the backyard.
Investigators said the suspect forced his way into the home when he was confronted by the homeowner.
NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene and found crime scene investigators surrounding the house to learn more about what happened.
The homeowner fired his gun at the suspect and shot him, then the suspect ran out of the back door.
The suspect was later found dead in the backyard after succumbing to his injuries.
Police have not released the identity of the suspect.
